Chelsea starlet Ruben Loftus-Cheek is set to become Frank de Boer’s first signing as the new manager of Crystal Palace, according to The Telegraph.
After making just six appearances for the Blues last season, Antonio Conte has made Loftus-Cheek available for loan this season with Brighton, Newcastle and Southampton all reported to be interested in the signature of the England U21 player.
The Telegraph expects that the Chelsea youngster will join Palace within “the next 24 hours“, after personal terms have been agreed with the club. He will become the club’s first signing of the summer window.
If Ruben Loftus-Cheek completes the move across London, he will join a growing list of Chelsea youth talent already out on loan in the Premier League. So far this summer, Tammy Abraham and Casey Palmer have joined Swansea City and Huddersfield respectively.
Meanwhile, Izzy Brown “could sign for Brighton on loan this week”, according to The Telegraph.
