Danny Drinkwater has arrived at Chelsea’s Cobham training ground ahead of a proposed move from Leicester City, according to Sky Sports.
As per the Telegraph, Chelsea are closing in on sealing a deal to sign Drinkwater. The Telegraph claim that the Blues placed a £30M bid on Thursday morning, but they will need to improve that if they want to have any hope of signing the 27-year-old before the deadline.
Drinkwater appears to be optimistic that his move to Stamford Bridge will materialise. Sky Sports report that the Foxes midfielder has arrived at Chelsea’s training ground, awaiting permission from his current employers to undergo a medical with the Premier League champions.
This crazy day is just getting crazier and crazier as we approach the deadline. It’s not going to be an early night, that we can assure you of. Only time will tell if Drinkwater will be a Chelsea player come tomorrow morning.
