Eden Hazard to Manchester City? Silly season really is upon us…

There can be no denying that Hazard’s future is a grave concern of ours. He’s yet to put pen-to-paper on a new contract amid continual speculation that Real Madrid are interested in securing his services.

Hazard himself, though he has been reluctant to publicly reaffirm his commitment to Chelsea, has not grown any real willingness to jump-ship this summer. The uncertainty has stemmed from such, nobody really knows what’s going on in his head.

What we do know is that he loves Chelsea. The club, the shirt, the fans, the lot. We feel comfortable in assuming that, when making a final decision on his future, he will do so with both grace and respect.

That’s why we believe that the Daily Star‘s latest report linking Hazard with a summer move to Manchester City is a load of rubbish. The report claims that City are plotting a £100M move for the Belgian, but they must be well aware that they don’t stand a chance.

If any side wants to have any chance of signing Hazard, with the current inflated nature of the transfer market, they’ll need to table a bigger sum than that. Nice try, Pep.
