As per the London Evening Standard, the Premier League champions are keen to draft in both Dzeko and teammate Emerson Palmieri from the Serie A heavyweights in a £44M deal between now and the end of the transfer window.
The Sun reported that Chelsea had agreed a deal in principle to sign Dzeko, with only minor details separating the Bosnian and a move to Stamford Bridge. However, it appears as though the tabloid may have jumped the gun a little.
