With Alexandre Pato on the verge of signing for the blues this means most likely somebody has to make way. According to ESPN FC this could be Loic Remy with Newcastle apparently leading the race to sign the French forward.
ESPN FC say that Remy would welcome a return to Newcastle and now the club have made an enquiry to Chelsea as they look to try and set up a loan deal.
He scored 14 goals in 26 appearances in the 2013/14 season was rumoured earlier this month to be joining Crystal Palace to reunite with his old boss Alan Pardew but that deal never happened.
Remy signed for Chelsea in the summer of 2014, he almost signed for Liverpool but that deal that fell through in the end. It worked out for the best for the striker as he played a key role from the bench for the Blues as he won the Premier League last season, but chances to play this season have been even fewer so he’s looking for a way out.
