Juventus are desperately trying to stop left-back Alex Sandro joining Chelsea this summer, according to the London Evening Standard.
The Standard report that Sandro has had his head turned by the potential financial rewards of moving to Stamford Bridge, with the Premier League champions thought to be offering him an eye-watering £150,000-a-week.
The Standard report that Juventus have rejected a £52M bid from Chelsea for Sandro, but are expected to return to the Serie A heavyweights with an improved offer in the coming days.
However, Massimiliano Allegri does not appear to have given up trying to keep Sandro at the Juventus Stadium. According to the Standard, Sandro is set to be offered a contract extension.
The Standard believe Juventus will offer Sandro a £100,000-a-week deal, which is £50,000-a-week less than Chelsea are thought to be offering.
It is also reported by the Standard that Juventus are already looking into potential replacements, as they prepare for Sandro’s departure to West London.
