Lazio striker Ciro Immobile has rubbished reports earlier this week of a transfer to Chelsea, the Metro reports.
Immobile who has been incredible this season, scoring 17 goals in all competitions.
The Sun reported that Roman Abramovich was willing to let manager Antonio Conte splash the cash in a move for the Italian striker.
However, it does not look as though the move is likely to materialise. Immobile’s agent Marco Sommella revealed what his client thought of the talks about the 27-year-old joining a Chinese club or the Premier League champions.
The Metro quotes Sommella saying:
“We had a good laugh together over that, including the Chelsea rumour.”
Despite the great season Alvaro Morata has had so far, there have been question marks over Michy Batshuayi’s future.
Antonio Conte wanted to sign Fernando Llorente in the summer, before deciding to join Tottenham Hotspur, as per the Daily Mail.
This desire for a striker has made people question whether Conte values Batshuayi in his squad. Although, Batshuayi showed great commitment to the cause scoring a brace in the comeback 4-2 win against Watford.
Immobile would offer experience upfront but any hopes to sign the striker seem to be over already.
