Newcastle United are in talks to sign forgotten Chelsea striker Loic Remy as the French striker looks to end his miserable London experience, reports The Sun.
As per The Sun, the 30-year-old still has one year left to run on his £80,000-a-week contract and has been told that he does not feature in Antonio Conte’s first team plans this season.
The striker is reported to be keen on a move away from the club, with The Sun revealing that Newcastle and Swansea are both interested in taking the former QPR forward on-loan.
Remy signed for the Blues from QPR in 2014 and went on to win the Premier League title in his first season at the club, but played second fiddle to Diego Costa for most of the season.
After making just nine Premier League starts for the Blues in two seasons, the France international was loaned to London neighbours Crystal Palace after Michy Batshuayi arrived from Marseille in 2016.
Despite being keen on a move away from Stamford Bridge, The Sun understand that the 30-year-old’s wages have so far stood in the way of any permanent move away from London.
