The Enigmatic One has left the Blues on loan as he looks for play time after the worst six-months in his career.

The signing of the Senegalese center back, who can apparently also play at defensive midfield, has been questionable to say the least. He was “snatched” by us on deadline day, along with fellow defensive nobody Michael Hector, after we’d been linked with much more illustrious names like John Stones, Marquinhos and Rafael Varane all summer long. Now the signing would have made much more sense of the poor guy ever got a chance to earn his salary, but the 27-year old only got a single minute of play time under Jose Mourinho and even less than that under his successor. (you can do that math as to how many minutes that is)Papy DjilobodjiBig Papy, as some of our fans affectionately call him, signs with German club Werder Bremen to find play time. But I have a feeling that he will not be adding another minute to his Chelsea account and will have to count the past half season as a very well-paid vacation in one of the least exotic places on Earth, while we can only sit and watch all of this wondering what the hell was going through our board’s heads when they decided to buy him.

Good luck Papy!
