Chelsea are still struggling to put out a competent defence, and that means transfer links to defenders won’t stop. The latest name to be mentioned is one we’ve heard regularly for about 5 years: Jules Kounde.
“We understand Kounde would be available in January, although any Premier League club looking to secure his services could face competition from Bayern Munich,” TeamTalk claim.
Chelsea consider returning for long term target again

Kounde is a really interesting player – we always thought he was the perfect fit for the wide central defender in Thomas Tuchel’s back 3, and that’s exactly when we were first linked to him.
He’s since gone to Barcelona and been a big hit there, although the links to Premier League teams never seem to end. Will this winter finally be when it all comes to pass? Perhaps he could now be Alonso’s solution in a back three.
All will depend on Barca’s asking price and Kounde’s wishes too.
