Chelsea have a number of positions they need to strengthen this summer, but the departure of Marc Cucurella has made one of them particularly clear. No matter how highly they rate Jorrel Hato, they will be looking for another left back.
Chelsea would need major model change to push for deal

Names are starting to be mentioned, and one that appeared today is Gabriel Gudmundsson of Leeds United. He only signed for them a year ago for £10m, but an impressive first year in the Premier League has the big boys looking at him.
TeamTalk report that Chelsea are “ready to take an aggressive approach to his signing.” We’re not sure how much Leeds would want for him, but it’s likely to be a major sum given they hold all the cards here.
We have only one doubt – he’s 27. He certainly wouldn’t fit the old model of just signing youngsters or the occasional player on a free transfer. If we do make our interest in him serious, it will be the surest sign yet that we have indeed changed our policy quite significantly
