Gary Neville made an interesting point on Sky Sports while previewing this afternoon’s Arsenal – Chelsea game. He claimed that the Blues now have the stronger attack of the two teams; but that Arsenal’s superior defence and midfield would make the difference in the long run.
Chelsea now have superior attack to Gunners claims Neville

“I think if you said to Mikel Arteta: ‘would you swap your forward line for Chelsea’s, he would swap,” Neville claimed.
“He’d put Rogers, Palmer and Joao Pedro up there ahead of Saka, Havertz and Eze. He would. So it’s not the strongest part of Arsenal’s team. But what they’ve done in defence and in midfield is become that good… if you’re not conceding goals you’ve got a great chance of winning nearly every single match.”
“From that perspective, [Arsenal] would be the better team.”
We have to agree – we wouldn’t trade our attack for theirs. But right now they’re better than us both individually and collectively in midfield and defence. It will be fascinating to see those elements match up today, and also to see how the dynamic changes through the season.
