We’re still running through the checklist of completed deals from a hectic final day of the summer transfer window at Chelsea.
One of the most surprising stories of the day was Tosin’s move to Tottenham. If it hadn’t been for the late Lamine Camara drama, the permanent sale of the defender to Spurs would have been the big headline, along with Mykhailo Mudryk’s move to the same destination.
Tosin move doesn’t work out for Chelsea
Most reports are claiming Chelsea got €12m for Tosin, a good number considering he had come in on a free for the Blues. It’s fair to say the signing didn’t work out. He was supposed to be a backup option who brought maturity to a young group and solid defensive play.
In the end he was largely very poor on the pitch, and he didn’t seem to be able to do much to help the dressing room culture either. Still he seems a good guy, and it’s a shame he’s ended up with our rivals. His departure concludes a busy summer of slimming down our defensive options.
Tosin Adarabioyo has completed a permanent transfer to Tottenham Hotspur.
