Alvaro Morata is hoping for similar success in the Champions League with Chelsea as he experienced during stints at Juventus and Real Madrid, report Goal.

Morata won the competition twice during his time with Los Blancos, as well as reaching the final, and scoring in it, while playing for Serie A giants Juventus.

He is faced with the task of replicating that success in a Chelsea shirt. As you well know, we have won the competition just once in our history, and will be looking to do so again this term having spent a season watching from the sidelines last time around.

Morata is quoted by Goal revealing that he is hoping to reach the latter stages of the competition with Chelsea:

“It’s an incredible competition. With all the teams I’ve played for in the Champions League I have reached the final and I hope to do so this year too.”

The Spain international went on to emphasise how difficult being triumphant in football’s most coveted competition is, but he feels that Chelsea have all the tools required to be competitive:

“It’s very difficult to win the Champions League but I think we have a good team, and with a good mentality we can do good things.”

Do you think that Chelsea have a chance in the Champions League this season?
