Antonio Conte given major selection headache ahead of Tottenham clash

Antonio Conte

Antonio Conte has been given a major selection headache ahead of our clash with Tottenham next weekend.

As if it wasn’t bad enough on Saturday, with Tiemoue Bakayoko, Eden Hazard and Pedro being ruled out through injury and Victor Moses sidelined with a one-match suspension – things have just got a lot worse.

During the defeat to Burnley, both Gary Cahill and Cesc Fabregas were shown a red card and will miss the Tottenham clash as they serve their one-match bans.

With the existing injury headaches and the fresh suspension concerns, Conte may find himself with just one available midfielder next week in N’Golo Kante.

Kyle Scott, who was named among the substitutes against Burnley, may well be called upon. Alternatively, Conte could field David Luiz in midfield, but with Cahill also suspended, that would be far from ideal.

Saturday was very much a day to forget for anyone with any affiliation with Chelsea football club.
