Chelsea manager Antonio Conte has revealed who he feels are the favourites to win the 2017/18 Premier League title, report Goal.
It is almost impossible to predict what might happen in England’s top flight. Last campaign, Chelsea won the league at a canter on the back of the tenth place finish. The season prior, relegation threatened Leicester City’s meteoric rise saw them crowned champions.
Despite this, Conte has not shied away from revealing who he feels are favourites to be triumphant next term. Goal quote the Italian, who when asked if he feels Chelsea will start the season as favourites, reveals:
“For sure; we won the Premier League title last season.”
However, Conte does go on to reaffirm that his Chelsea squad are under no illusions, and he acknowledges next season will be extremely difficult due to the quality of the opposition, as Goal report:
“It is normal that every big team tries to reinforce their squad by bringing in quality players. That is what they have done. For sure, next season in Premier League will be a huge challenge for us.”
Chelsea have drafted Antonio Rudiger, Tiemoue Bakayoko and Alvaro Morata into a title-winning squad. If further reinforcements arrive, few would bet against us becoming champions once again.
