So far we’ve been focused on what’s happening in Chelsea’s camp – there are fears the Blues are short-handed in midfield after losing Enzo Fernandez on deadline day. But what situation are Arsenal in?
Arteta coy on multiple potential absences
While Chelsea have an almost fully fit squad, the Gunners have a few more worries. With Willian Saliba out long term, they were hoping to rely on Cristhian Mosquera. However the 22 year old picked up a hamstring injury on Monday night.
Bruno Guimaraes is another doubt – he’s missed training this week after also picking up a knock on Monday, but looks like he will be ready to face us today.
Jurrien Timber is another long term absentee. He’s close to a return, but a place on the bench looks more likely that a starting spot.
All in all, this is a still a very strong Arsenal team, but there’s no doubt they’re missing a few important players.
