Chelsea fans woke up to absolute shocking news this morning. SportBild reports suggest that the Blues have agreed a deal with Thomas Tuchel to replace Antonio Conte as the club’s manager.

The German publication claims that Chelsea director, Marina Granovskaia met the former Borussia Dortmund manager to discuss a possible move to Stamford Bridge after Antonio Conte is sacked. SportBlid also report that the Chelsea board is not happy with the manager because of losses suffered to Arsenal and Burnley this month.

Further more, the report suggests that Conte is not happy with the transfers made by the club and that has caused a rift between him and the board.

Apart from Tuchel, SportBild report that Chelsea were also in talks with Luis Enrique. The manager was at Barcelona for 3 seasons before leaving the club after his contract expired in the summer.

The legitimacy of this report has to be questioned. The timing of it seems absurd, Conte has had all pre-season to walk if he wanted to and the club surely wouldn’t sack him two weeks into the new season.
