It’s half time in Chelsea’s game against Brentford, and while it’s not a classic for the neutral, it’s a fascinating game.
Chelsea fans were very worried about their team in this match. Brentford are a hard team to break down, and they’ve done really well against us in the last few years. Given we are without a few key players in midfield and our defence has looked shaky, this was a worrying game.
Calm Henderson helps Chelsea get a foothold

Instead the Blues have been really solid. They haven’t created much, but they’ve got a foothold in the game and stopped it getting away from them. A big part of that has been Jordan Henderson, who is making his debut and has made a great impression.
This is the night we needed him – with multiple midfield options out, he’s come in after 3 months without a game and looked really calm and solid. He’s encouraging others around him, but he’s not just a cheerleader, he is getting on the ball and playing in a calm way in a match where we needed just that.
