Football fans went absolutely wild for N’Golo Kante (again) during our clash with Manchester United on Sunday afternoon.
After a disappointing start to the season, losing Kante to injury during the international break was the worst thing that could have possibly happened. While he watched on from the sidelines, the gap between ourselves and leaders Manchester City grew, and we were picked apart by AS Roma both home and away in the Champions League.
When the team news was announced at 3:15pm and it was revealed that Kante had returned to the midfield, suddenly we all felt to feel much more positive about the contest – and that positivity proved to be justified.
The France international was phenomenal as Chelsea defeated title rivals Man United 1-0 in front of the Stamford Bridge crowd, and Twitter went absolutely wild. Here’s a few examples of how football fans worldwide took to social media to hail Kante. We really are lucky to have him!
