Chelsea fans have taken to Twitter in their masses to celebrate the fact that Willian has been dropped by Maurizio Sarri.

Willian has been one of our most used players under Sarri. There was constant speculation over the summer that he could be set to move away, with both Barcelona and Manchester United being linked, but the Brazilian opted to remain at Stamford Bridge.

We saw Willian’s commitment as a positive, but many within the Chelsea faithful have had enough of him. There is a widely held view that he doesn’t produce the goal or assist figures that you would expect to see from a player at this level.

In truth, it’s a fair argument.

Willian has been replaced by the more productive Pedro in the starting eleven for today’s local derby against Fulham, and Chelsea fans are rejoicing. Here’s how some took to Twitter to share their delight at Willian being named among the substitutes.
