Chelsea fans on Twitter have singled out one player for praise during our first-half with Fulham at Stamford Bridge – and there’s no prizes for guessing who it is.
Both Willian and Alvaro Morata are among the substitutes, so the scapegoat baton is passed down to Marcos Alonso.
Despite the fact that Chelsea are leading at the break, the Blues faithful are less than content with his performance, and they’re making their feelings known.
Alonso, in truth, hasn’t had his best 45 minutes here in the West London derby, but football fans have short memories, and certain members of our fan base are showing it today.
Here’s how some have vented their frustration with Alonso through Twitter this afternoon.
Is it just me or is Alonso looking very sluggish?

Some truly woeful crossing so far from Marcos Alonso.

Haven’t seen Hazard get as frustrated as he has done with Alonso for his last 3 crosses.
Hazards been on for the slide/cutback all three times and is asking what the hell is he doing #CFC

Alonso wouldn’t be elite even if he had pace. He’s not good enough technically

My gooddddddddd
Alonso putting a -1/10

Marcos Alonso started the season very well but he has been poor lately.

Do you think it’s justified, Blues? Or does he deserve more patience after how good he’s been for us over the past few years?
