Frank Lampard has confirmed the Chelsea team news ahead of tomorrows crucial showdown against the Leicester City at the King Power Stadium.

N’Golo Kante sat out of the Fulham clash due to suspension, but at the same time the Frenchman has been suffering through a hamstring injury. Although he returned to training at Cobham, he is poised to sit out of the Leicester City clash after Lampard confirmed the former Leicester midfielder’s absence.

He said to chelseafc.com:

“Christensen’s available, and N’Golo unfortunately isn’t due to a hamstring injury. It’s too soon for his hamstring. They are the ones of note.”

The Chelsea boss will now face an already tough decision, to opt for Jorginho or introduce the dynamic Billy Gilmour in midfield – along with Mason Mount, who looks indispensable in Lampard’s eleven. Reece James is also in contention for a starting place.

The Stamford Bridge outfit sit in the seventh-place – six points behind the Foxes – after a hard-fought victory against Fulham. While Leicester come into the clash after an impressive victory over Southampton and sit in the third place with 35 points, two behind leaders Manchester United.
