German international Antonio Rudiger has completed his transfer from AS Roma to Chelsea.
After Nathan Ake and John Terry departed, Antonio Conte found himself in dire need of defensive reinforcements. He acted fast, and got his man.
The club announced Rudiger’s arrival in a rather unique, cringe-worthy manner, as is the trend in 2017. Have a look if you can stomach it.

The Chelsea Twitter account then shared the photo we’d all been waiting for, Rudiger putting pen-to-paper on a five year contract.

Speaking to the club’s website, Rudiger explained that the chance of joining Chelsea was one that he simply could not turn down:
“It’s a great feeling because not every player has the opportunity to join a huge club like this. I am looking forward to meeting up with my new team-mates and I’m very proud to officially become a Chelsea player.”
Welcome to the greatest club on Earth, Antonio.
