Maurizio Sarri has dropped the biggest hint yet that he could leave Napoli this summer, amid speculation that he could be set to replace Antonio Conte at Chelsea.

Despite lifting the FA Cup on Saturday evening, Conte’s future at Chelsea is still thought to be in doubt. Reports have suggested that he has fallen out with the club’s board over their transfer strategy – and it doesn’t look as though there’s any way back for the Italian.

Conte’s replacement could prove to be one of the most crucial appointments of the Roman Abramovich era. We cannot afford to get this wrong, else we could be sucked into mediocrity in the same manner that both Liverpool and Arsenal have done prior.

Sarri has proven his managerial credentials during his time with Napoli, and it looks like he could soon be on the move. Sarri is quoted by Sky Sports heavily suggesting that he could be on the move this summer:

“In life, everything comes to an end. Sometimes it’s better to finish stories while they are good. When I arrived, the team had finished 24 points off the top. Now, we are four points behind.”

“We have not reached the target, but the journey has been fantastic. Tomorrow I will talk to my family before anyone else. The (club) president needs a response quickly.”

“I don’t think I could go to another Italian team immediately. The memory of Napoli would be too strong.”

Do you think Sarri is the right man to take us forward, Blues? Or would you look elsewhere? Let us know in the comments.
