Chelsea draw up three-man striker shortlist, players from England and Italy considered

Chelsea have a three-man striker shortlist as the clock ticks down to the transfer deadline, according to Goal.

The departure of Michy Batshuayi on loan appears to be a foregone conclusion. The Belgian once again showed Antonio Conte what he is capable of with a quick-fire brace in the first-half of Chelsea’s 3-0 FA Cup fifth round victory over Newcastle United on Sunday.

However, no matter how hard he tries, or how many goals he scores, Batshuayi has remained second fiddle to both Diego Costa and Alvaro Morata.

You have to think that he will look to depart on loan in search of first-team football, and Goal believe Borussia Dortmund may provide him with an opportunity to do so.

That would leave Chelsea in dire need of a new striker, and Goal claim to know the three hitmen the Blues’ are looking to sign before the deadline.

It is claimed that AS Roma’s Edin Dzeko, Arsenal’s Olivier Giroud and Tottenham Hotspur’s Fernando Llorente are all being considered. Let us know in the comments which of those you’d like to see lining up in a Chelsea shirt come the start of February!
