Chelsea v Bournemouth confirmed lineups: Strong side, Loftus-Cheek starts

Chelsea vs Liverpool - Carabao Cup Final 2024

Chelsea’s starting eleven to face Bournemouth in the Carabao Cup this evening has been confirmed, and it’s a strong side that Maurizio Sarri has fielded!

Us fans may not be taking this competition particularly seriously, after all getting back into the Champions League is our priority this season, but Sarri doesn’t look as though he’s going to be pulling any punches throughout the remainder of it.

Sarri is yet to win a trophy during his career as a manager, and this year’s Carabao Cup, with League One side Burton Albion in the semi-finals, provides us with an excellent opportunity to bag some silverware this term.

Though our starting eleven tonight is heavily rotated, it remains strong. Antonio Rudiger and Cesar Azpilicueta keep their place at the back, with Cesc Fabregas and Ross Barkley coming in for Jorginho and N’Golo Kante.

There’s no start for Callum Hudson-Odoi, who takes his place among the substitutes with Ruben Loftus-Cheek starting in attack with Willian and Olivier Giroud. Eden Hazard IS fit enough to be included among the substitutes.

Here’s both teams’ starting elevens for the game. Keep an eye on Bournemouth’s Callum Wilson, who is thought to be a serious target for Chelsea.
