Chelsea v Liverpool confirmed starting lineups: Giroud leads the line

Olivier Giroud

Today’s the day. Chelsea against Liverpool. Blue against Red. A place in the Champions League next season on the line. We can’t wait.

Chelsea need to win, there’s no two ways about it. We can keep out top four hopes alive with a victory, as well as denting Liverpool’s chances of qualifying for the competition they’ve done so well in this term.

After Tottenham were defeated by West Brom by a 92nd minute Jake Livermore winner yesterday afternoon, we have been provided with another avenue back into the top four. We need to win to keep the pressure on both Spurs and Liverpool.

It won’t be easy by any means. Liverpool have proven this term what they’re capable of, especially on the front-foot. We need to wary of the danger they pose, while being confident that we can create problems our own.

Here’s how we lineup for the big game. What do you think, Blues? Does this side have what it takes to win the game?
