Chelsea forward Pedro has signed a one-year contract extension until the summer of 2020.

Pedro’s contract was due to expire next summer, meaning that he could sign a pre-contract agreement with any potential suitors as soon as the January transfer window.
He’s still got plenty left in the tank. Chelsea will no doubt have been reluctant to lose a player who still has resale value on a free transfer.
Pedro has also impressed for Chelsea during pre-season. He fits like a glove into Maurizio Sarri’s way of thinking, and has looked incredibly comfortable in his system.
Sarri improved all of Napoli’s front-line during his time at the Stadio San Paolo. We’re confident that he could replicate that with ours, with Pedro set to benefit from it.
Tying him down to a new deal looks to be a shrewd piece of business from the club. Here’s to another two seasons of Pedro…
