Frank Lampard has named his starting eleven that will take on Morecambe in just under an hour in this afternoon’s FA Cup tie at Stamford Bridge.
It will be the first meeting between these two clubs in any competition or friendly, and takes the total number of different clubs the Blues have played in competitive matches to 193.
This is the fourth time this season Chelsea will play new opponents for the first time, the others being Sevilla, Krasnodar and Rennes.
The game is the perfect opportunity for manager Frank Lampard to include some of the youngsters from the academy in his matchday squad. Most notably Tino Anjorin, who played in Chelsea’s 1-1 Champions League group stage draw with Krasnodar at the start of last month.
