Confirmed Line-Up: Chelsea vs Newcastle

Stamford Bridge Thomas Tuchel

Thomas Tuchel has begun his Chelsea career in stupendous form, yet to taste a loss in his first five matches.

The Magpies visit Stamford Bridge in an attempt to stay out of possible relegation from the Premier League – now sitting in 17th place, 7 points clear of Fulham, and way ahead of West Bromwich Albion and Sheffield United.

Newcastle enter the clash after having sensationally won 3-2 with ten men against Southampton – the win being their only second this year – losing 7 times so far in as many matches across all competitions.

Chelsea comes on the back of a great run of form under Thomas Tuchel, having won four of the last five matches – drawing on his managerial debut against Wolverhampton Wanderers.

This encounter will be the 150th time Chelsea face Newcastle United in the Premier League – having played only Arsenal, Manchester United, Everton, Liverpool and Manchester City more than the Magpies. (chelseafc.com)

If Chelsea do manage to win, this will be the club’s ninth consecutive victory at home against Newcastle United in all competitions.
