Diego Costa has been included in Chelsea’s 25-man squad for the 2017/18 Premier League campaign, despite the exiled striker having a frosty relationship with manager Antonio Conte, according to the Daily Mail.
As per the Daily Mail, Costa has camped himself in his home town, Lagarto, in Brazil. He is thought to be refusing to return to Chelsea training following the deterioration of his relationship with Conte.
However, despite the rift between the two big characters, Chelsea have dropped a major hint that there could be a way back for Costa at Stamford Bridge. The Daily Mail report that he has been included in Chelsea’s Premier League squad, suggesting that Conte has had a change of heart and intends to use him for the upcoming campaign.
What a bizarre end this would be to one of the most prolonged transfer sagas in recent memory. Would you like to see Costa back in a Chelsea shirt? We would!
