There’s been a lot of talk about Estevao in this international break. There are rumours he’s not happy with his game time at Chelsea, and the good news is that Carlo Ancelotti is planning to use him a lot for the Selecao it seems.
He started their game against Australia today and has just bagged a goal before half time, shooting right footed back across goal. The way his teammates celebrated with him show how well loved he is.

Of course, it was too good to be true – the goal was disallowed shortly afterwards for a very soft foul in the build up. Still, it’s a nice moment for the youngster, and he can hopefully get a legitimate one in the second half.
You can take away the goal, you can’t take away the confidence it’ll give him, or the impression it leaves on his teammates and manager.

Estevao is set to play a fair amount for Brazil in this international break, and Carlo Ancelotti has already said he intends to help the youngster get some of the minutes he’s missing with Chelsea.
Another player in the Brazil squad for this window is Gabriel Bontempo, who is expected to make his debut for Ancelotti.
