Chelsea needed this international break. They don’t have an injury crisis like a couple of years ago, with multiple players out long term, but they’re without a few key men in important positions, all of whom could be back when club football returns.
Most importantly, Moises Caicedo has missed effectively the whole season so far, and the team look pretty hollow without him.
Then there are key players and presences on the pitch, Reece James and Joao Pedro, who missed the defeat to Brentford.
The final addition we’re keen to see is Marco Palestra, who hasn’t played once since signing in the summer. Not only does he look really dangerous, we also haven’t been happy with how Pedro Neto, Pep Chavarria and Jorrel Hato have been doing on the flanks, so an alternate would be excellent.
