Chelsea legend Frank Lampard hasn’t ruled out the possibility of being part of the club in the future, ESPN reports.

Since retiring from playing in February, the 39-year-old has been studying his coaching badges and is a pundit for BT Sport.

Despite how busy he has become since hanging up his boots, Lampard has been linked with the technical director job at Chelsea.

ESPN quotes Lampard saying:

“I’m a Chelsea person, I’d love to be involved with the club long-term in some way. We’ll see.”

Is Lampard suited to the technical director position at the Blues?

Will Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich consider Frank Lampard to take the technical director role?

Our all-time top goalscorer will always be welcomed back at the club, but the vacancy may have come too early for him.

As per the Standard, the club may not even appoint a replacement for Michael Emenalo.

However, there’s no doubt Lampard could take this role in several years but perhaps not in the near future.

Other candidates that may be closer to owner Roman Abramovich may be better suited to the role than Super Frank.
