This week Chelsea agreed a deal to sell Marc Cucurella, their first choice left back from the last few years.
Now it seems like they could be ready to let a right back go too. Our writer Simon Phillips had a piece up on his Substack yesterday which claims that Malo Gusto’s agent is in talks with “a few clubs” about a move away from Stamford Bridge this summer.
Gusto agent in talks with City, Inter and others
The report names Man City and Inter Milan as interested teams, and adds that Chelsea are “open to offers” for the former Lyon full back, who they are confident they would be able to replace “well enough.”
It’s also suggested that Gusto was “close” to the former Chelsea and now Man City boss Enzo Maresca, who seems to be driving the deal.
Gusto has a lot to offer, but is a frustrating player at times, and not many Chelsea fans would be totally against the idea of selling him and trying to find an upgrade somewhere.
In other news…
Real Madrid are not in “club to club” talks with Chelsea over Enzo Fernandez yet according to a top insider.
Cucurella has been sold by Chelsea, and one person who’s not so sure about that idea is John Terry, who had his say on the decision as a pundit at the World Cup.
