Matches are coming in fast and hard for Chelsea, as they take on Newcastle United in the Premier League on Monday night.

Since the Blues play late on Monday night Thomas Tuchel had to give his press conference earlier this morning and when asked by a reporter on Kai Havertz’s progress, he explicitly mentioned patience as a key factor in the young attacker’s development. (chelseafc.com)

“It takes its time, there is no short answer. What we know is that he has huge potential in him. For every transfer – every player and every club – it’s different. Sometimes they are quick to adapt, sometimes it takes time.

All we can do is push him, support him and give him what he needs. He is totally self-aware, very humble and incredibly talented,” he said

Havertz has appeared 26 times for Chelsea across all competitions since his transfer from Bayer Leverkusen, scoring five and assisting six in the process (transfermarkt) – but the best is yet to come from the German.
