Chelsea fans, get your smug faces on. You’re about to get something to ridicule your United supporting mates about.

According to Spanish publication AS, David De Gea has been informed by Spain boss Luis Enrique that he will no longer be his country’s starting goalkeeper.

Do you know what that means? Kepa Arrizabalaga, who previously served as De Gea’s deputy, is set to be promoted to La Roja number one.

Kepa has been in fine form since signing for Chelsea in the summer. We thought it’d be difficult to replace Thibaut Courtois, but we’ve upgraded on him at the first time of trying.

Nobody is irreplaceable, as Enrique looks to have realised with De Gea. Best goalkeeper in the world, they said. He’s not even the best in the Spain camp!

On a serious note, Arrizabalaga is one of the best goalkeepers on the planet and deserves to be starting for his country, even if it is at the expense of De Gea.
