Now this is interesting…

Ahead of Chelsea’s Champions League second-leg clash with Barcelona at the Nou Camp, the Metro report that Lionel Messi has been ruled out of his side’s final fixture before the big game.

Chelsea are going to beat Crystal Palace today, right? We’re going for a 3-0 victory. Pick four correct results from today’s fixtures in the new Betfair Pick 4 and be in the chance of winning up to £30K. Did we mention it’s FREE to play? (over 18s only, one entry per customer, terms apply). Click here https://goo.gl/Zy5YUu to register and play – good luck!

Messi, of course, needs no introduction. He’s the best player on the planet, and arguably the best ever to bless us with his presence on a football pitch. The prospect of him missing the game is, from a Chelsea standpoint, utterly mouthwatering.

However, the Metro claim that Messi has only not traveled with the Barcelona squad to Malaga due to personal reasons. There is no mention of any injury or anything that is likely to keep him out of the Chelsea game.

Having FINALLY found the back of the net against the Blues, the Argentine will likely be licking his lips at the prospect of knocking us out of the Champions League at the Camp Nou as redemption for 2012.
