Real Madrid loanee Mateo Kovacic has revealed that he can see himself staying at Chelsea beyond his current loan deal.
When it became clear at the end of the summer transfer window that Kovacic would be moving to Stamford Bridge, there was disagreement in the press whether there was an official option in the deal to make the deal permanent.
It’s still unclear whether there is, but if it does exist, it’s an avenue which we ought to be exploring at the nearest possible opportunity, with the Croatian playing an important role in our starting side so far this term.
We would like Kovacic to stay, and now the man himself has shared his standpoint. For those who are hoping that he sticks around, it’s good news.
