Maurizio Sarri has told blatant lies to the media over Callum Hudson-Odoi. This really isn’t a good look from the Chelsea manager.
You know the story when it comes to Hudson-Odoi. He’s the clubs most promising young player, yet continues to be starved of game-time by short-minded Italian managers. Bayern Munich attempted to steal him from us in January, with Hudson-Odoi’s head being turned, but Chelsea stood firm and denied him the opportunity to leave.
Amid all the interest from Bayern, Sarri made it clear to the press that opportunities were to come for Hudson-Odoi in upcoming matches. This excited the fans, and we’re sure it would have given the player some encouragement to remain at Stamford Bridge. There was only one problem – it was a complete and utter lie.
Chelsea have played five Premier League matches since this comment from Maurizio Sarri.

If Sarri was honest about being one of the managers we’ve had far too many of, who have literally zero interest in playing our younger players, perhaps we’d learn to accept it – but he hasn’t been. Lying to the fans and the player himself is just a disgrace.
