Napoli manager Maurizio Sarri is already has sights on transfer plans at Chelsea if he is to move to SW6 this summer.
Sarri has been heavily linked to replace Antonio Conte at the Stamford Bridge helm with talks over who the 59-year-old wants to bring to West London at the end of the season.
Unlike previous reports suggesting players currently under Sarri’s wing could join him at Chelsea, instead it’s a former Napoli player that has been linked with a move to the Blues.
As reported by the Express via Tuttosport, Juventus goal-machine Gonzalo Higuain could be the subject of a €50m deal in signing for Chelsea.
Higuain, who has propelled himself to the heights of the game, especially during his time in Italy, is an integral figure for the newly-crowned Serie A champions.
The Argentine striker scored 23 goals this season and at 30-years-old, Higuain has showed no signs of slowing down.
Suggestions that Higuain could come to Chelsea have come about after Juventus’ interest in re-signing the unsettled Alvaro Morata, who has been inconsistent in his first season here.
Whilst seeing Morata leave Chelsea after one season would be drastic, it may be a risk worth taking if the club can bring in a player of Higuain’s calibre.
