Chelsea have not made any new signings yet this summer – but there are a number of pre-agreed deals which are coming up.
One of them is the arrival of Geovany Quenda from Sporting CP. According to Kieran Gill’s piece for the Daily Mail today, the winger will arrive in London on Saturday to complete his move.
But it will be nothing new for Quenda, who has already spent a lot of time in the UK preparing for this move. A foot injury and then the subsequent surgery back in January spoiled the second half of his season but did at least give him the chance to pre-acclimatise to new surroundings.
Quenda did much of his rehab at Cobham, and will hopefully be able to make a smooth transition.

In other news…
Chelsea are looking at central defenders, and they have two with very different profiles at the top of their list.
Reece James looked a little limited last night for England, and we’re not surprised to hear that he may have picked up a minor injury. We hope this means a rest on Saturday night.
