Norwich City 0-0 Chelsea player ratings: Willian a rare bright spark as the Blues are forced into a replay

Chelsea were held to a goalless draw against Norwich at Carrow Road.

Chelsea were held to a 0-0 draw by Norwich City in the FA Cup third round

The first-half was undoubtedly the worst we’ve seen this season. Neither side had a single shot on target and next to nothing happened in the entire 45 minutes.

The second-half took a while to get going, too. Willian was the brightest spark for the Premier League champions. He didn’t shy away from running at the Norwich back-line and having a pop at goal, but he was unable to find the back of the net.

In fact, nobody was able to find a breakthrough for Chelsea, despite a late flurry of attempts on goal. Perhaps the only positive we can take from the match is that academy products Charly Musonda and Dujon Sterling both got some minutes under their belts.

Chelsea have been forced into a replay by Championship opposition having fielded a side which contained nine players who have won a league title during their career. It was utter dross, and quite frankly, 90 minutes

Caballero 6, Rudiger 6, David Luiz 4, Cahill 7, Zappacosta 4, Drinkwater 3, Bakayoko 2, Kenedy 4, Pedro 3, Willian 8, Batshuayi 2 (Subs: Morata 5, Musonda 6, Sterling 6).
