Former Chelsea defender Jason Cundy is mainly known for his silly TalkSport show with Jamie O’Hara where they troll each other back and forth about the Blues and Spurs’ respective struggles.
But he does watch all the games and is a passionate fan, so we’re always keen to get his take on things. His interview with Football.London this week had some fascinating thoughts about Morgan Rogers.
Jason Cundy on potential signing of the summer
Cundy is a fan of the club record signing, but isn’t willing to pop the champagne just yet:
“Signing of the summer? Listen, he came for a huge price-tag. Signing of the summer is a big statement,” the pundit said.
“I think what it’s done from a Chelsea point of view, it’s given us a three-pronged attack and I say three-pronged because it’s obviously Joao Pedro up top, Morgan Rogers, Cole Palmer and Estevao can be in that as well.
“He [Rogers] has shown why Chelsea had so much faith in him but it’s about consistency; it’s about every week doing it. So far, so good.”
Let’s hope he goes up another level after this break.
