New reports of emerged from Germany stating Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel’s new found interest in Bayern Munich defender Niklas Sule – according to German newspaper BILD.
At only 25, the German center-back has established himself as an important member of the Bayern squad under Flick after transferring from Hoffenheim back in 2017. He has won consecutive Bundesliga titles, alongside the UEFA Champions League last season.
Bayern coach Hansi Flick has refused to rule out a move for the defender, saying –
“It speaks for a player of ours when other clubs show interest. We’ll see how everything develops and where he sees his future.”
He was also quick to point out the centre-back’s strengths –
“Niklas is a very fast player, good on the ball and ability to make an impact from the back. His physical attributes are an absolute strength.”

Niklas Sule’s market value lies around €45m. He is under contract until 2022 with Bayern and this could make him available at an affordable price for the London giants.
Along with new contender Sule, David Alaba and Dayot Upamecano have already been named as potential transfers to make a move to the Bridge at the end of the season. Chelsea have had problems in the back, the same way their attack has been misfiring all season.
