The agent of Chelsea midfielder Jorginho has revealed his desire to see Gonzalo Higuain in a Chelsea shirt, not that he has any say in whether that happens.
We have a fondness for Jorginho’s agent following the role he played in us signing him. He said no to Pep Guardiola and Manchester City and ensured his client would be playing in a Chelsea shirt under Maurizio Sarri.
Jorginho has been a revelation for us this term. He has eased the transition of ‘Sarriball’ into Chelsea, and it looks as though he’ll be anchoring the midfield for years to come.
One player that Jorginho had the pleasure of playing alongside during his time with Napoli was Gonzalo Higuain, now of AC Milan. We thought that the pair could be reuniting in the summer at Chelsea, but the move never materialised.
Whether Chelsea have the remotest interest in signing Higuain is doubtful, but Jorginho’s agent is hoping for it to happen. He’s quoted by the Metro saying:
“I do not know [about Higuain at Chelsea]. Obviously I am cheering for the Blues. His arrival would give the squad a big boost.”
