Chelsea have been charged by the Football Association following events at half-time in the 1-1 draw with Huddersfield on Wednesday night.

After dominant possession from the Blues that forced a corner, with the two minutes of minimum additional time not reached, referee Lee Mason ended the first-half.

With time still remaining it’s understandable that Chelsea players were frustrated with Mason’s decision, especially with Huddersfield’s time-wasting antics.

Whilst the referee was poor, the Blues still can’t look to this incident as an excuse for failure to secure the three points as this result has virtually ended our Champions League qualification hopes.

The BBC reports that Chelsea have until 6pm next Tuesday to respond to the charge.
