As is the nature of modern football, Cesc Fabregas and Thibaut Courtois have been having ‘banter’ on Twitter.
It was Courtois who started it. He was sent a GIF from a couple of years ago of Fabregas slapping him on the back of the head in the tunnel. Courtois looked bemused, but he looks to have finally figured out who it was, and immediately tweeted his teammate.

Fabregas replied, suggesting that the slap he gave was to try and get Courtois to focus on the game rather than laughing and joking in the tunnel. Fair enough, though resorting to violence is never the answer, Cesc.
You were NOT focused enough!! 😂 https://t.co/4RW5sukEee

Then it started to get a little bit beefy – strap yourselves in. Courtois reminded Fabregas that merely 20 minutes into that clash with West Brom in 2015, he was shown a red card. Ouch!
If I remember well in that game you had a red card after 20 min🤷🏻♂️🙄

Fabregas had firepower of his own, though, taking aim at the fact that Courtois was beaten THREE times during that game at the Hawthorns.
Is it an excuse for you conceding 3 that day? 🤔 https://t.co/rfERGSHOsL

What a pair of absolute legends, this is great to see. It’s probably about time they both stopped roasting each other in public and focused on the upcoming game at the weekend against Leicester City, however.
