Chelsea manager Antonio Conte believes that the media are obsessed with the relationship between himself and Jose Mourinho, the Standard reports.

As the Standard report, Mourinho said on Wednesday that some managers in the Premier League cry about losing players to injury.

Understandably, Conte isn’t happy with the amount of injuries the Blues have suffered recently. Cesc Fabregas is likely to be the only fit senior midfielder available for tomorrow’s match against Watford.

According to the Standard, Conte has no regrets about his response to Mourinho’s comments. Insisting that the 54-year-old that managed Chelsea to three Premier League titles has to focus on his own team.

The Standard quotes Conte saying:

“A lot of time, also last season, I think he has to think about his team and to stop and look at himself, not the others.”

“I think these are stupid things. For me this is a stupid subject, a stupid issue.”

Victor Moses and N’Golo Kante absence against Roma in the thrilling 3-3 draw on Wednesday were noticeable. The pair will be unavailable for Watford’s visit to Stamford Bridge.

Tensions are rising between the two managers with the match against Man United at home around a fortnight away.
